Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of
Ibadan, media officer, Jubril Arowolo has warned rivals that a heavy fixture
schedule will bring the best out of Oluyole
Warriors's squad.
The Ibadan-based side has been
scheduled to play four matches of the Nigeria Professional Football League in 11 days.
The coach Kadiri Ikhana-tutored side
take on Rivers United on Saturday in a week seven tie at the Lekan Salami,
Adamasingba, Ibadan before traveling to Lokoja to face Niger Tornadoes at the
Confluence Stadium for a week eight fixture on March 23.
Four days later, 3SC will also travel
to Akure to confront Sunshine Stars in a week nine encounter before taking on
Enyimba in a rescheduled week two league game in Port-Harcourt on March 27.
And speaking on the preparedness on
his team, Arowolo believes that his wards will thrive under the pressure of
playing four matches in less than two weeks in their quest for silverware this
season.
“We have the materials and
wherewithal… and hoping our financiers would still be there too!,” Arowolo
said.
“We are very positive about the
matches, one home, and three away games. We are very massive. We can do it and
we won't disappoint our fans and supporters. It look difficult but we shall
take the matches as they come,” he added.
