Nigeria's U-23 team arrive Brazil

The Hotel Ilha Do Boi camp of the U-23 National Team, Dream Team, in Vitoria, Brazil came alive on Monday as eight of the overseas –based players invited for Thursday’s friendly match arrived ahead of their colleagues from Nigeria.


The early birds to arrive were former U-17 captain Musa Mohammed and his former team-mate Taiwo Awoniyi, before Nathan Oduwa, Sodiq Popoola, Imoh Ezekiel, Agboyi Ovbokha, Theophilous Solomon and Godswill Ekpolo joined them.

The rest of the overseas –based professionals hit camp on Monday night, just ahead of the delegation from Nigeria, made up of nine players and the technical crew led by interim head coach Fatai Amoo.

The delegation from Nigeria, led by NFF Deputy General Secretary, Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme, departed from Lagos via South Africa from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Sunday, aboard a South African Airways flight. The team flew from Johannebsurg to Sao Paulo before connecting the city of Vitoria.
