MFM match like any other match, Says Ganaru

Kano Pillars technical adviser Mohammed Baba Ganaru says nothing special is attached to their week eight of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game against Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Football Club of Lagos.

The match will be played under floodlights at the Agege Stadium today by 7pm.

Ganaru said the players are focused and determined, stressing that they will give their best in the game.

“I don’t think there is nothing to be worried about concerning the game. We have game plans and we are really focused. There is nothing so spectacular about the game. It is a normal match like any other match we have played this season. We are coming to Lagos full of expectation. So we will take the match as it comes,” Ganaru said to SportingLife.

Players and technical crew of Kano Pillars arrived in Lagos on Tuesday evening around 5:50pm aboard Azman airline ahead of the clash.

The former Nasarawa United manager admitted that their air trip will go a long way to assist the team in their quest to get something meaningful from the game.

“This is what is expected from the management to the team. And we thank God that the management and Government of the state made flight arrangement for the team to Lagos. It would have been very difficult for us to play well if we had traveled by road. It is good for the team and the league in general.  There is no doubt that it will help us in so many ways. Things like this should be encouraged now that we are playing twice in a week. If we want to get the best out of the players we should try and fly them to away games,” he said.
