Tijjani Adamu out for two weeks

Kano Pillars star Tijjani Adamu will be out of action for two weeks due to groin injury.
Adamu picked up a groin injury during his side’s week 8 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game against Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Football Club of Lagos at the Agege stadium on Wednesday.

He was replaced with Sadik Yusif by the team’s technical adviser Mohammed Baba Ganaru few minutes to the end of the match.

Ganaru said the club’s doctor Mutari Sani has advised the team to allow Adamu rest for two weeks in order not to aggravate the injury.

“We have full squad for Ifeanyi Ubah and we are focused for the game. The only player that will not make the team is Tijjani Adamu. He sustained groin injury in the game against MFM on Wednesday and he need two weeks rest,” Ganaru said.

On the game against Ifeanyi Ubah, he added: “It one game at a time. We are not losing focus and we have our game plans always. We are waiting for them.”
