El Kanemi
Warriors defender Zango Umar has been declared fit for this weekend’s match day
seven of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) crunch clash against
FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
Zango
sustained a muscle pull during his side’s 3-1 loss to MFM in a match day six
clash at the Agege Stadium on Sunday.
The former
Kano Pillars defender was substituted in the second half of the game and he was
replaced by Ebinipere Dengo when it was confirmed by the team’s doctors that he
could no longer continue with match.
The club’s
technical adviser, Ladan Bosso said Zango was part of the team’s training
session Wednesday and he will be available for selection this weekend.
The former
Kano Pillars manager said the injury was as a result of the team’s long road
journey to Lagos for their last game against Olukoya Boys.
“It is not a
serious injury but he (Zango) but he is fit to fce FC Ifeanyi Ubah. The team
will resumed training session on Wednesday morning and we monitored him very
closely to know the level of the injury but I can confirm that he is back. It is a
muscle pull and it can be managed. That was the result of our long road journey
to Lagos for Sunday’s game,” Bosso said.
