Tourists technical adviser Abdul Maikaba in this interview said his defenders blunder
affected their chances of getting something out of Sunday’s Nigeria Professional
Football League (NPFL) clash against Rangers International at the Nnamdi Azikwe
Stadium, Enugu. Experts:
What will you say about your team’s defeat
to Rangers?
Maikaba: My
team played very well, only that we lost to some defensive mistakes in the
first half.
So are you regretting the loss which
at least you should have gotten a draw?
Yes, we
planned seriously to get something out of the game but unfortunately we lost. It
is not a do-or-die affair, we lost and we have to look ahead for the next game.
The next target is the six points at home against Warri Wolves and Niger
Tornadoes, so this one have gone, we try to look ahead and see what will happen.
Two of your players (Godwin Obaje and
Ya'u Hassan) are going to Super Eagles. Is this going to affect your next game?
No, not at
all, because I have so many talents back home, so you should not worry, I
believe you'll see new faces that will surprise you so much.
