El-Kanemi's Ohanachom sets 17 goals target

El-Kanemi Warriors lanky forward, Chinedu Ohanachom has set a 17 goal target for himself after netting his first goal of the season against  Enyimba FC in a Match Day 5 of the 2015/2016 Nigerian Professional Football League Season.

Ohanachom was among the scorers as El-Kanemi defeated Enyimba by 2-0.

Ohanachom, whose name translates to "sought after by the public" powered in a 13th minute screamer to send the home fans jubilating at the Karkanda Stadium in Katsina.

The striker had earlier boasted prior to the fixture that he would score a goal against the Peoples Elephant. He had gone ahead to further request that a Mascot be paraded by the team with his jersey number crested on it.

Ohanachom kept his promise by scoring the first goal for El-Kanemi, firing in from close range after receiving a pass from Isaac Hele Hele. Ibrahim Mustapha scored the second goal from a scramble to hand the host their first win of the season.

The young striker was expectedly proud to have make his words count and told www.npfl.ng afterwards; "I feel so proud scoring against a team like Enyimba because they are a big club. I had promised and fulfilled".

Relishing the moment, he spoke of his personal target of goals for the season though offering no reason for the choice of the number of goals.
"This is my first goal of the season and i look forward to scoring 17 goals this season. I am also happy to be the man of the match, it is good to know that people watched and actually appreciated my efforts".

Ohanachom joined El-kanemi Warriors from FC Taraba last season and has since become a regular feature in the Warriors strike force.
